This is attributed to the fact that most people do not know how to properly handle

the waste that they produce from their everyday activities . Being the case , it is important that proper knowledge regarding waste management is given due attention
Waste management has three components namely : solid waste , liquid waste , and gaseous waste . Solid waste pertains to non-liquid and non-soluble materials that include municipal garbage up to industrial wastes . These industrial wastes have complex and even hazardous substances . Sewage sludge , agricultural refuse , and demolition wastes as well as mining residues are recognized as solid wastes . Liquid waste is produced through the decomposition of organic matter . This is exemplified by the leachate , which is the toxic that seeped through a landfill or compost site and has already contain bacteria or other harmful dissolved . Gaseous waste is the pollution that is found in the air and often characterized by odorous compounds . This is observable in most factories that emit dark and toxic air due to their machineries (Diaz et . al , 2006
