Planning is looking into the future and deciding what should be done depending on occurrence of certain things . According to (James , 1999 it is the working out in a broad outline the things that ought to be done and methods of doing them to accomplish objectives . Globalization has a positive impact on planning in Wal-mart organization . This is because Wal-mart stake-holders are able to estimate the profit it can make by allowing its cheaply manufactured and inexpensive goods and services to cross the bs and reach other countries of the world Globalization has also helped in planning for how to adopt new technology so as to improve production and experience fast growth . It has also helped in planning on how to adopt new administrative skills and leadership styles from other successful organizations of the world so that it can experience great success

Globalization has positively impacted on planning in that of the Wal-Mart has now heavily invested in technology like computerized tracking systems , which enable them to know for example something that is being produced in say Denmark and where is being sold say Brazil

Organizing is the establishment of the formal structures of authority through which work sub-divisions are arranged , defined , and coordinated (Kendel , 2004 . In Wal-mart organization , organizing as a function of management has been negatively impacted by globalization . For example women are being offered lower wages as well as benefits than men , and also there is unequal distribution of labor among the workers due to different cultures , skin color and race . Globalization has also a positive impact on organization in that it has helped in individual access to diverse cultures for example when different workers from different cultural backgrounds are assigned the same workload and they interact with each other in the process . This has also improved cultural exchange internationally

Leading is the continued supervision of workers and their performance making decisions and directing the enterprise (Kendel , 2004 . Wal-Mart through globalization has experienced rapid growth . Globalization has enabled the leaders to expand the organization from rural small towns to urban areas . Also Wal-Mart enjoys a very loyal consumer base Globalization has also enabled the leadership of Wal-Mart to expand the organization to so many areas externally , where they attract a lot of customers therefore making lots of profit . This has been achieved by lowering the prices of the goods , as a result of global nature of manufacturing
