. 3203-3211

The purpose of the article is to identify molecular interactions that regulate dorsolateral bending found in mouse neurulation . This molecular interaction regulates formation of dorsolateral hinge points (DLHPs The authors used

non-mutant embryos that they obtained from random bred mice , which later were genotyped . In the process , they introduced AffiGel blue beads and helped in analyzing transverse embryo sections with the help of angle measurements method . The authors found out that Bmp2 correlated with spinal neurulation , it exaggerated DLHPs in null embryos and release of Bmp 2 inhibited neural fold bending . Thus , they concluded that Bmp interactions are required in inhabitation of DLHPs Moreover , Bmp antagonism was necessary in the induction of dorsolateral bending . Hence , Bmp antagonism underlines regulation of DLHP in the mouse spinal neural tube closure

Understanding the fusion between the neural tube and neural plate bends is important in clinically knowing the benefits and risks that exposed if the process is not successful . Knowing the process plays an important role in the establishment of central nervous system primordial and understanding the consequences and cause of neural tube defects . Neural tube defects may be associated with low spinal closure and brain closure

The mice...
