Thanks for the loan of your cute and very homely little cabin on such short notice . It was a pretty spontaneous decision on my part but I just had to get away from the rat race for a few days . I had an eventful and exciting weekend and one that I will always remember

I bumped into one of your neighbors at the local bar and he invited me to go canoeing with him I had noticed you had

a canoe tied up in the garage so I agreed . He 's a pretty good guy - a young academic or something - seems very intelligent and friendly , and he was very sincere in wanting to help me feel at home there . I can 't say the same about his wife though . I met her when we returned from the canoeing trip . She looks quite sophisticated but too aloof and formal for my liking . She was very abrupt and obviously didn 't want to spend time talking to a stranger . To be quite honest , I didn 't like her at all
