Virtual: relation to the real/ virtual and actual/ examples and non-examples
VIRTUAL Introduction The virtual conventionally means of being something in essence or fact without any physical presence that produces certain effect . In computer sense it means that it does not exist physically but made to appear by software . It is a term applied in many fields with somewhat different senses and mostly used with some other words (eg . Virtual reality virtual gaming and so on Difference between Real , Actual and Virtual In to understand virtual , real and actual examples , it is absolutely necessary to understand their difference . Virtual can be

br referred to as a potential state that could become actual . Real is a thing that is certainly possible in real world around us . The real state differs from the actual because of the other real world factors that may interact with the actual event . Many possible actual events in isolated world may become impossible in real world
For example , consider the example where we stimulate an exploration of mountainous area . We consider al virtual factors such as steepness of mountain , average person 's capability , and climate and so on and we may arrive at a time required for expedition . This is virtual simulation using the software . The event simulated virtually may actually occur given the same states specified in virtual occur , that is same steepness of mountain prevail , an average person climbs and the climate occurs as simulated
But this rarely does occur in real world . One or more of the simulated variables may vary in the real world . The steepness of mountain may vary . The climate may behave erroneously or the person 's ability may be more or less . Sometimes the parameters that are not enlisted in the virtual environment may also be interacting . In this case , it could be the nature of mountain rock , its slippery nature and so on
Sometimes all the events simulated need not be virtual . Nowadays , lots of mathematical models are being simulated and they might comply very well with actual and real values . Sometimes people experience some virtual things which very much coincide with reality . Virtual classrooms are good example . A Virtual Classroom is online space which the teachers can use to support student learning . In this case the learning experience by the students is real and there is nothing that is virtual It just helps the students to study from their houses without being in classroom
Conclusion
The real and actual scope of an event can be made to coincide if all the parameters that might be involved are realized and given correct values But this rarely does happen . There is always variation with the parameters . The virtual simulation is rather getting important in today 's world because of the increased computer capabilities and their usage . In course of time many virtual simulation have started to coincide with actual and real worlds
