Men are from Mars and women are from Venus ' This very famous saying from John Gray 's 1992 bestseller by the same name has become a catchphrase in our contemporary world . It is

used to describe the mindsets of both sexes and states that because their psyches are so different men and women are often found at opposite tenterhooks

The main theme of my essay revolves around this gender war . The intellectual , emotional and physical war between both sexes has been going on since evolution of men . Women as recently as the nineteenth century were expected to be docile , demure creatures with proper manners and no impolite word in their vocabulary . They were expected to be good housekeepers and they having a profession was something unheard of . It wasn 't until World War I when the men were off to war that women were forced outside the comfort of their homes and called to work in factories to take the places of the absent sex . The war may possibly have , for the first time , opened women 's eyes to the fact that they could actually work as well as any...
