Abstract

Throughout the history of aviation , catastrophic disasters were present even though considerably rare . One of such , the ValuJet Flight 592 disaster , claimed the lives of more than a hundred people , in which neither passenger nor crew survived . Given the advances in aircraft safety , the accident presented the fact that aviation is still not as safe as it should be due to several risk factors not usually considered before
