Greenpeace International is a self-governing organization which aims to promote the preservation of the world 's natural resources and the rehabilitation and protection of devastated ecological zones around the globe . Another objective of the Greenpeace International is to act in to modify or transform the conduct and behavior , as well as way of thinking of individuals to promote peace and environmental causes worldwide . Greenpeace International has cited six ways in to attain their objectives (1 ) promote changes in use of energy (2 protecting bodies of water around the world and counter human acts which result to water pollution and endangerment of marine life (3 safeguarding and forests and plants , as well as animals in to maintain the production of sources that mankind gains from it (4 advocating for global peace and solidarity (5 ) limiting and reducing the use of toxic chemicals that harm the environment , and (6 ) promoting responsible , safe , and legitimate farming and agriculture (Greenpeace International , 2008

Abovementioned are the primary concerns of Greenpeace International to function as an organization and be productive in accomplishing its goals and objectives for human and environmental causes . Another significance of goal setting for this wide-ranging organization is to govern and direct local and regional offices located at different countries . After laying out clear goals and objectives , these valuable pieces of information are disseminated to various local and regional offices around the world . The process of disseminating functions , roles , goals and objectives helps in leading remote offices to act and operate according to set plans . The central international office of Greenpeace International will be also be able to determine problems and hardships in far-flung offices by goal setting . Bureaucratic organization as well as resources will also be identified in to provide ease and straightforwardness in handling problems all over the world and provide prompt resolutions
