There is concern in several health care departments over the increase in the number of residents who are uninsured and under insured . This is because of the impact that the situation has on these health care organizations . As much as there are some services available cheaply or free , they are not enough to meet the growing needs of the populations It is viewed that access to proper health care is directly proportional to income status of

the individuals . In our study , we are going to look at how the uninsured or under insured of the population of young adults aged between the age of 19 - 29 affects Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centre as a health care organization

Providing health care for New York 's 800 ,000 uninsured young adults has become very expensive as the youths are being admitted and utilizing hospitals emergency rooms as their primary care physicians . The fact that most young people are not insured makes them more prone to medical hardships which correlate with economic hardships . Young people are said to have the greatest health needs but ironically , it is a group that has the lowest rate of seeking medical attention . Parents ' private plans and public programs that cover health insurance usually are terminated at the age of 19 .
