Family Conflict

I believe that family conflict is a natural part of life . Although people are members of the same family , they cannot possibly have the same beliefs about every situation . This is when conflict arises . Some conflicts may occur when parents disagree with each other over how to manage the family finances . Children may disagree with parents over their allowance , household chores , and meals . Parents may disapprove of the children 's choices of friends . There are other types of conflicts which arise , that relate to the cultural expectations and religious

beliefs practiced within the family . For example , what happens when parents are devout catholics , and their son tells them that he is an atheist ? What happens if the parents are believe that it is unacceptable to marry outside of one 's own ethnic group , and their daughter marries someone of a different race ? All of these situations may lead to major conflict within a family . I believe that regardless of my personal beliefs , it is important to respect the beliefs of other members of my family . We do not have a right to choose our families we are born into them . However , we do have a right to choose our beliefs and the kind of life we wish to live as individuals . Family members should accept each other and respect the differences . This will help to eliminate unnecessary conflicts...
