I am aspiring to be a competent engineer in the future , and I believe that the training which your university provides will equip me with the necessary know-how and values to realize this aspiration . I am currently finishing my 12th grade , hopefully with flying colors . I take special pride in being an academic achiever despite the fact that I have migrated from India to the United States . I have strived to exhibit passion for excellence in my studies and my efforts have paid off . While I have Indian roots , I believe that I

have commendable facility with the English language , in both oral and written forms . I have been able to rid myself of the distinct accent which I used to have when I first migrated here

The subject areas in which I feel I have performed exceptionally well are the hard sciences , specifically Math , Physics and Chemistry . The inspiration and support which my parents have constantly given me , the good work ethic which they have imbibed in me and my personal drive to succeed have paid off and with all humility (and yet still with all pride , I am among the top students in my batch . While I take my studies very seriously , I also take time to unwind . I am a voracious reader - in fact , I have managed to read the Da Vinci Code in one sitting . I have also been able to read the whole Harry Potter series . I am also an avid fan of Arnold Schwarznegger and would like to emulate his fortitude and drive

The migration to the United States has caused a big metamorphosis . It has caused very significant changes in my way of life - all the things I was accustomed to when I was still in India had to be modified to adapt to the new culture . Such transition was imperative to be able to blend in with my novel surroundings . I have tried my best to learn more about the American culture , and am now well-versed with American society language , games , TV serials , comedies , music , and norms .
