The globe has been undergoing a series of climatic difficulties that have been challenging the lives of the global population . The challenges have come in when changes are considered from a human health point of view . The world has thus been trying to come up with technological frameworks in all fields to help in minimizing if not eliminating climate based disasters . Transport sector and more so the motor

vehicle industry has been contributing a lot in accelerating environmental degradation through emissions that are environmentally destructive . In an attempt to achieve efficiency in this sector , electric cars have been developed and improvised to save the world from this demising situation (Bardou , 1982 , pp .10

Electric cars are vehicles that use a rechargeable energy storage system in the efforts of attaining a better fuel economy . The charges of the batteries are prolonged through capturing kinetic energy through a process called regenerative braking . In electricity generation , they use Internal Combustion Engine (ICE ) which spins an electrical generator in recharging batteries or else feeding power directly to electric motors which in turn drives the vehicle . It is a start stop system in which the ICE can be shut down when the vehicle is idle and then restarted afterwards to revive it to work .
