Looking back , I see my personal and academic experiences as stages of growth that have helped me to understand my own potential and the road that I wish to take in life . While vast opportunities are before me , I feel that my true calling lies in the fascinating and challenging world of business and economics . I wish to transfer from Parsons School for Design to New York University to make my dream a reality and become a successful businessman someday

Right after high school , I enrolled at Parsons the New

School for Design under the

Design and Management (D M ) Program which is a design and business-related course . Aside from my passion for design , I chose to study this field because it is an integral part of life . Design is something that we encounter everyday . When design is combined with management , I feel that I would be able to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful in the business world

However , I found out that even though Parsons is a famous school for fashion and graphics design , it does not give enough classes for students like me who want to focus on design and management . I experienced difficulties in enrolling into classes as courses related to my field get filled up too quickly . Moreover , only a few professors teach the major courses . Also , students under this program represent only the minority of the school . In addition , I feel that Parsons does not give enough focus on and attention to the D M program . The school also has insufficient resources such as books (library , databases rooms , and even technology to help students to excel in this field of study

With the mentioned reasons above , I started to gain interest in and divert my attention to economics and business . Thus , I would like to enroll at the New York University (NYU ) College of Arts and Science and get a major in Economics . By studying economics and business , I would be able to learn how to increase the profitability of a certain industry and how it can contribute to our country 's economy . Moreover , I feel that studying economics can help me discover more about the trends and opportunities in the business world

Given the confluence of my personal and professional interests , my goal is to obtain a business degree and work in an industry where I can apply the knowledge I learned from school . In addition to this , I plan to use my extra time to do self-study since NYU has a business library that will provide me a more advanced and competitive knowledge in business and economics

I believe that attending classes at NYU will surely ease the path towards reaching my goals . NYU offers wider academic opportunities and school resources that will deepen my expertise and broaden my perspectives . Moreover , professors who are also business experts at NYU will help me to hone my skills in the field of economics which I have yet to encounter...
