Training and Development
Training and Development The continuous training and development of the employees of an organization is necessary for them to learn how to adapt to changing work conditions and how they may be able to meet the demands of their work . To facilitate this development , organizations and companies usually employ four strategies (1 ) formal education , in which the employee attends a classroom type environment and gains skills and knowledge (2 ) Assessments , where the current performance and level of skills of the employee are determined and the proper interventions are arrived at (3

) Job Experiences , where learning takes place during the performance of one 's jobs and (4 ) Interpersonal Relationships , which is more of an informal process but theless seeks to empower the employee through interpersonal methods such as coaching and mentoring The fourth one appears to be the most effective of these strategies because it is more focused and direct . Although it may tend to be informal , it is in the informal areas of the work that employees usually gain skills in a non-threatening way (Noe , 2006

Practices that recognize and celebrate diversity should be integrated in the company culture .
