Sustainable Tourism has surfaced to be an important area in the field of development studies in the late 20th century . It has spurred worldwide consensus about the dire need for such area to be looked upon . In the recent years after its initial introduction to the study on sustainable development , studies had been developed to promote such actions not only to states but also to international institutions /organizations , companies , and firms as well . However despite of the consensus of the need to promote sustainable tourism outcomes have been limited and actions taken

by the important actors remain to be at a minimum

This will try to look into detail the questions surrounding sustainable tourism . This will revolve around five important questions that would be vital for the promotion of sustainable tourism in the future . These questions (1 ) will reflect the vital actors that are deemed necessary for such promotion (2 ) the feasibility of such actions (3 ) the depth of action taken by important actors (4 ) the effects of actions (if there are ) to tourism industry , and (5 possibility of promoting sustainable tourism in the first place . To support such claims made by the on the 5 issues mentioned , it will present several case studies and look into efforts made to address sustainable tourism . Furthermore , in trying to understand fully the aspect of sustainable tourism , the would also present a diagram Thus the will be divided accordingly : first will be the presentation of the diagram , then the will address the five issues discussed including incorporation of the case studies and the conclusion of the

Good business is created by the industry 's responsibility to promote environmental practices and in turn also deter the harmful impacts contributed by the industry (Forsyth , 1997 ) The capability of the industry to promote and recognize the need of sustainable tourism as a necessity and consequence of change in the future would be vital (Pigram and Wahab , 1997 ) Thus , companies and firms are also another vital actor in the promotion of sustainable tourism
