Tourism Consumer Behavior Consumer behavior is the study of how basically individuals make decisions to spend their most valuable resources which is money , time and effort on consumption items or rather on commodities to be consumed at a stage in their daily activities . According to Solomon (1996 consumer behavior is the study of the processes involved when the individuals concerned choose , purchase or acquire and use the products or goods and services or ideas to satisfy their needs and desires According to Belch (1998 ) the definition of consumer behavior involve all

activities that people or individuals indulge in , during the process of assortment , assessment , purchasing using and disposing off things or different products to satisfy their desires or needs . Behavior occurs where an individual or group is involved . However , there are theories that suggest that a consumer has to pass some certain processes before making a decision to purchase a product . Although not all the consumers or buyers pass through all this stages because not all commodities are exposed to the whole process . In any case we find that some of the stages are skipped depending with the nature of the product . Studying consumer behavior helps in many ways such as knowing the psychology of customers as in how they think , choose and decide on taking some particular commodities .
