BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF PROPOSAL

Foreign and domestic tourism of Macon , Georgia is healthy and yet holds more promise . There are many activities and festivities that tourists can undertake in Macon . There are tour walks festivals and fairs museums and monuments and historical landmarks . There are very rich and interesting art shows galleries theatre . Macon likewise boasts of convention facilities

Because of such inviting tourism offering , logistical support to the potentials of the city has a room for another tour /charter bus service to transport tourists and tour groups . It is envisioned that it is the highlight of tourism services that transport facilities be sufficient efficient and effective . Thus , this business prospect is meant to be congruent with the Macon 's impeccability in sustaining its tourism features and other potentials

PROPOSAL AND PLAN

I - General Operation Strategy -

The Tour /Charter Bus Service will be a private operation that will initially be supported by

3 bus units - each unit will be a 20-seater capacity , fully furnished as a tour service unit : i .e , video equipment for purposes of preliminary showcases of tour and city summaries microphone and sound system

The office /tour service center of the Tour /Charter Bus will be housed in downtown Macon , in an approximately 35 square meters office

The garage and maintenance facility of the buses will be within proximity of the main office

II - Overall Management Strategy -

To create variable and flexible and /or optional tour /itinerary schedules that tourists /tour groups can choose from

Each itinerary option or tour option will cover either a full day (6 hours ) or half day (4 hours ) sight coverage

III - General Marketing Strategy

To liaise with the Macon Convention /Visitors Bureau

To publish print ads in major spreads all over the United States

To create and disseminate of flyers and brochures for information
