is in mode of governance was common in the 20 th centaury and many supporters of the ideology especially in the European region adopted secret policing , propaganda , regulation and restriction of free discussion and open critics on government operations . Leaders enjoyed monopolized control on some of their nation 's institutions such as the broadcasting stations and the government machineries to restore such as the police and the military . This approach made it possible for them to exercise control over their subjects and implement their policies . In most part of the world , the Nazism in Germany lead by Adolf Hitler and Fascism which was controlled by Stalin prefered one party government . The party dominates the entire parts of the country through established structures at the grassrooot levels . This enables it to effectively garner support at the grassroot level thereby making it admirable to many persons . In the wake of world war , many single mass party were eminent all over the world . It was largely perceived that multy party system of leadership , would aggrevate divisions among societies yet this was unsustainable for economic and political development . With regard to this perception , some rulers with the mind of Hitler and Stalin , took advantage of the situation and therefore marketed this kind of leaderships over the world thus making it popular . They disobeyed and selectively applied the law and the constitutions , meant to promote hamonious co-existence in the community . terms were very catching and thefore liked naturally by many people in the world thus increasing their need to identify with them . These ideologies , supported by propaganda campaigns , demanded is very open that during the olden days , many communities gained conrol over resources through forceful acquisition by fighting their opponents , particularly between world war the first and the second . has therefore provided the opportunity for self-fish individuals to continue exercising control over their subjects . government has the ability to attain mass political participation , and often are led by charismatic and admirable personalities like Josef Stalin who led the Soviet Union and Adolf Hitler in Germany . These personalities commanded the support of many people and therefore strengthening and popularizing regard to cold war-era research , some communities were characterized and defined with too much pleasure-loving and self-fish individuals . Thereby prioritizing their interest at the expense of the country . This increased the desire to control more resouces and therefore aggraveting their need to win more suppport to ones side thus popularizing the concept of the establishment of grassroot structures , it encourages acceptable level of public involvement in governace and decision making processses . In the recent world , suffer from suffocation and it is in the verge of collapse since the world is welcoming democratic system of leadership . Initialy , did it supporters know that this kind of governance would not survive the test of time and that it was far fetched from social , economic and political reality . Thus it has resulted in the disintegration of the failed to compete effectively with the test of time , this system has indicated inability to adopt to social and political innovation and advancement . This kind of leadership is unpleasant and therefore unacceptable in the world since such means of governance only exist to serve the interest of a few correctly politically aligned individuals other than the interest of the state . Its proponent put much emphasis on what they get instead of building structures and formulating policies that would enhance the evolution of this system to better its significance in the world . Another reason way this system has continued to loss popularity is because it was majorly based on ideologies other than pragmatism . Political statements , in many instances lack adequate and focused means of addressing societal problems . In most cases , they are subjective and pay less tribute to objectivity and are only meant to whore support for it proponents . Ideologies are associated with individuals . Consequently , the death of the person behind the ideology leads to disintergration of the system . It has also been proven that of leadership lacked autonomy since the system was controlled from a central power house known as the statehouse . This type of leadership approach entails much beauracracies and thus delay the process of decision making . This system of control is a one man show with a few individuals that surround him . It therefore perpetuate resource distribution inqualities . This is because the national resources are only shared by a few individuals . Other than the above factors , this mode of governance placed empasis on the subordinate of the individuals to advance the interest of the state . This approach of leadership widens the gap between the leaders and the subjects and it is not healthy for social , economic and political development . A number of studies and continental agreements have shown that public participation is pivotal in the decision-making process concerning any development . Inconclusion , this type of social and political revolution , if combined effectively and efficiently with democratic system of government , has the potential to achieve much and to unlock inaccessible treasures in the community with proper structures and institutioal framework formulated .
