The assurance that students learn the essential lessons is of vital importance for it is part of the whole education process . If the students will acquire pertinent knowledge , this will ensure their future careers and stability on living on their own . People may give a little regard on the various classroom activities however , these activities play a large part in the whole education process . One of the challenges faced by the teachers is the diversity

of the learning speed and capacities of students in a classroom . Some students are fast learners or those who can easily grasp concepts and information , while others are quite slow in processing information

Pacing is the rate or speed at which the lessons are taught Appropriate lesson pacing helps students to stay focused on the lesson that is being taught . Lesson pacing that is too slow provide opportunity for the attention of the students to wander , it lowers the enthusiasm of the students and inhibits understanding of the lesson . However , pacing that is too fast for the students causes confusion and creates feelings of frustration and anxiety on the part of the student . A well-planned lesson with appropriate pace keeps students attentive and helps them learn effectively and efficiently (Bender , 2003
