Terrorism - this word nobody knew few years back is something everybody even a child knows now . When we speak of terrorism , the image that reflects in our brain is either of bombings , or a nation attacking another miserable nation , killing innocent people and no one else Terrorism is there since the world was created , the only change we can see

is the variations it has taken place through ages

Before we start discussing terrorism in detail , the first thing to know is to understand what terrorism really is

Terrorism can be defined as the use of violence or even threat of violence that creates an environment of fear and insecurity among the affected people (Justin et al , 2004 . It could be as small as threatening a child , and as enormous as bombing a nation with bomb shells . Nobody can be well prepared for a terrorism attack . It is most of time unexpected

It has a history longer than the modern nation-sate

Terrorism has been under practice before the time people started recording history . The only difference is that this term was recognized in the year 1795 as terrorism ' and terrorist . However , the term was never used as frequently before as it is in use now . People or groups that are involved in terrorism are always small in sizes and it is their practice to threaten a nation or a large group . The motive could be anything . It could be a demand they want to regain , it could be a purpose they want to accomplish , it could be anger that they want to express , it could be a motive to express power and ambiguity , or it could also be just for the sake of thrill or fun . The outcome they desire to get in return is to create a climate of fear and insecurity to the affected , so that people could listen to them willing or not willing and do as the terrorist want . Through creating this air of trepidation and fright , the terrorist seek to impose their influence and image of power on either a local or international scale

Unfortunately , the people who suffered from these types of threats or attacks are mostly normal individuals , and not the high prod political groups . It is likely to believe that from the outside it gives a look as if the violence is for the local or international political groups , but as y9ou see the other side of the picture , people who are affected here are normal human beings (Joel et al , 2007

Terrorism on the whole is absolutely negative term that 's generally applied to one 's enemies or opponents .
