The practice of Telemedicine can hardly be considered as a new concept Telemedicine is said to be originally known as In Absentia Health Care ' which is a situation wherein the patient and caregiver are at different locations but still communicate by audio and video - or sometimes without any personal contact . Early practices of Telemedicine include the primitive practice by African Villages of sending smoke signals to warn of plague or illness in their village or through two way radios to communicate with the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia .
