begin drinking before age 15 are five times more likely to develop alcohol dependence than those who begin drinking at age 21 . This early age of drinking is associated with alcohol-related violence . It has been estimated that over three million teenagers are outright alcoholics some cannot control themselves
More research works indicates that teenagers who initiate drinking alcohol and use at an early age causes automobile crashes that kills more than 5 ,000 deaths yearly . Such disasters as traffic accidents impulsive driving , suicides , homicide , drowning are highly linked to youthful alcohol abuse . A question exists about the possibility of unearthing the fundamental factors that influence alcohol use and abuse among teenagers . It is for this reason that this research plan is expected to capture comprehensive information of the factors that influences teenagers in alcohol use and abuse
