The automobile is one of the most important inventions in American history . Even though the automobile was not invented in America more advances and more of its influence has been seen in America than in another country in the world . The automobile frees the individual from trying to find a job in the same town in which they live and gives him the freedom to travel across the country at their own leisure . Traveling forty of fifty miles is not even considered to be a lasting impediment in the event that one needs to travel that far to work or to visit a relative or friend . A computer bought today will be regarded as out of date in as little as six months to a year . The internet opens up the world to a number of possibilities as one can easily talk to anyone in the world for free by way of emails , MSN messenger or a video camera which allows the people to see and hear each other , despite being on opposite sides of the world and all for the cost of 10- 20 a month whatever the fees of their internet service providers .
