Several steps must be taken to separate and stage inventory to be scrapped Step 1 : Identify Excess Parts White tags identify each part as either good , or damaged Step 2 : Sort the Parts Place the good parts into Bin 020185 Place the damaged parts into Bin 02186 Step 3 : Sort the Damaged Parts Look at the frame of each part in Bin 02186 and find the etched code Place parts etched 1A into Bin 020188 Examine parts etched 1B If no visible damage exists take the part to

the repair center
If visible damage exists (broken chips , split cables , etc
place the part into Bin 020187
Place parts etched 1C into 020189
Place parts etched with code 1D into Bin 020190
Step 4 : Verification of Damaged Parts
After filling 10 Bins call a manager to fill out a justification form for each damaged part
Precautions for Administering Vaccines
Follow Steps one through seven for each patient . Use the diagram at the end as a reminder
Step 1 : Always Wash Hands
Step 2 : Check Hands for Open Lesions
Check hands administering vaccine . Put on gloves if hands have legions
Step 3 : Check Patient for Potential Infectious Body Fluids
Determine if the patient has infectious body fluids
Ask them
Check the injection site for any visible sores or wounds . If there is a positive result for either action , the vaccine administrator must put on gloves
Step 4 : Select a Proper Syringe
The vaccine administrator must use a sterile syringe
Desirable syringes include ones that are disposable and can autodestruct
Step 5 : Never Mix Vaccines
Never mix different vaccines in the same syringe
Exception : Vaccines are licensed for mixed use
Step 6 : Dispose of Syringe
Place the used syringe in a labeled , puncture proof container
Step 7 : Always Wash Hands Again
Step 8 : Dispose of all Syringes
Autoclave or incinerate all syringes stored temporarily in the puncture proof container Excess - Good
