Today focus has shifted towards teams . For a group of individuals to become a team they need three basic components : a vision , focused commitment to that vision and be few in number
Systems thinking ' is when the organization is a function of the people and process and not isolated or people are forced to behave in a certain manner in relation to the immediate environment which is the social construction of reality ( Crother 2006 . For one to get to the core of the problem , then the whole has to be viewed as a function of basic components or parts . It allows the leader to become an effective problem solver especially for success and survival , or when those from unco-ordination between team-members hence roots out the source of problems with understanding . The restructuring strategy of Cole (1995 ) involves downsizing organization to allow for creative freedom and team formation is usually to accomplish a vision shared by individuals with different talents and skills that complement and ultimately stimulate each other to achieve personal and company success , thus team synergy which is the greater summation of the whole than the sum of the individuals
