International Rice Research Institution (IRRI ) is an institution that basically deals with the research and development regarding the breeds of rice in order to achieve food sufficiency not only in the Philippines but also in Asia . IRRI employees are very susceptible in leaving the institution and seek employment in other private companies that will give better compensation and benefits . In order to combat the temptation that faces its employees and also to minimize the cost of training new

br and novice employees , IRRI should use talent retention strategies such as offering flexible working hours and encouraging opportunities for innovations

To look further , offering flexible working hours to long-tenured or veteran employees would let them spend more time with their family Instead of going to work at the standard 40-45 hours a week , IRRI should give their long-tenured employees the privilege to work at least 25-30 hours a week without decreasing their wages . On the other hand promoting opportunities for innovations would kill the boredom of some of long-tenured employees of IRRI by letting them device their own way of achieving the results needed without sacrificing the integrity of the company
