How do we define education ? Does it come in the form of book knowledge or is it knowledge learned from practical experience . I believe it is both which is why Huckleberry Finn should be considered to have educational value . The lessons of practical knowledge as well as American history are prevalent , especially when it comes to the days of colored people and slavery

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was about a

young boy who was shot while trying to help a colored slave escape his slavery . During the float trip with this slave it was the colored man who became a role model of a father and taught Huck the basics of humanity . The slave Jim , doctored Huck . Huck knew the man as a nigger ' in which today 's society doesn 't accept the word as anything but derogatory . Today 's society still shows a level of prejudice and within this book , a young boy overcomes the societal ways of the 1800 's thought to learn that there should not be any prejudice , especially by God 's will

In speaking out against society and the ways of taught religion Huck finds a moralistic side to himself that he didn 't realize that was there and for sometime couldn 't fully comprehend as it was new to him . He realizes the morality of slavery is and that colored people are like everyone else though...
