It may also be defined as a criminal act that affects the audience beyond the present victim . The main aim of terrorists is to cause violence that can get the attention of the government concerned the population of a given country and even the whole world to their origin . They make strategic plans of

their attacks so that they can get publicity , selecting their targets carefully to portray things that they oppose
There are different types of terrorisms which may include , Cyber terrorism , Bioterrorism , Nuclear terrorism , Eco terrorism and Narcoterrorism . Cyber terrorisms may refers to the use of computers or information technology to attack the general public and attract all attention to their cause . It may also mean using computer resources to bring intimidation to others . For example , using computer systems in a hospital to alter a patient prescription to a lethal one . This may be seen as an act of revenge and is also classified as terrorism . Nuclear Terrorism is another type which refers to various ways of exploiting nuclear materials as a tactic to terrorize a given population , for example , building or purchasing nuclear weapons or even nuclear facilities that will be used to attack a given region . Inglesby ( 1999 explains , It may also denote a threat or the actual use of radiological weapons or even nuclear weapons in terrorisms
Narcoterrorism refers to drug traffickers using force to influence the state or the government not to stop them from trading drugs . It may also refer to funding or financing certain terrorist activities by getting involved in drug trade . Eco terrorism is violence planned by terrorists targeting the environmentalist interest . These are crimes that are committed under the umbrella of saving nature . Some of the criminal acts associated to ecoterrorism includes , issue of death threats , trespass arson , destruction of properties and burglary . The major target groups are ranchers , farmers , loggers , miners , researchers , manufacturers and home builders . Pavlin (1999 ) states that , the targeted institutions are mainly research labs , mills , forestry building , logging camps and power generation . Ecoterrorism is mainly intended to alter individuals and institutions behavior or to change public policies as far as ecosystem is concerned
Bioterrorism is the intentional use of biological organisms like bacterias and viruses with the main intention of causing mass death or making people sick and mass Punic . United States has classified toxins viruses and bacterias that can be used in bioterrorism attacks as those that causes Anthrax , Smallpox , Botulism , Hemorrhagic fever , the plague and Tularemia . Chemical compounds may also be used with the same intention and they are spread through various means like , water , air or direct contact with the compound or with the infected person Bioterrorism and natural outbreaks may seem similar but different approaches can be used to differentiate between the two .
