The TV show revolves around the character Nick George , a lawyer who becomes an adviser to the wealthy and powerful Darlings family . One unique trait about the show is that it has good writing involved in it It follows the same style with other shows like House and other shows that is not either a comedy or a drama show . It is a combination of both . Even the music is also amusing and that it makes the show even more interesting

Another thing about the show is that show close to reality or

to real life the characters , the scenes of the show are . It can 't be helped but noticed that some of the characters are based on actual personalities or events in real life . There is one character who is similar to some socialites / celebrities around like Paris Hilton , another character who is like the black sheep of the family and lives the rock `n roll lifestyle . There are also characters that seem to be inspired by the headlines of today like a family member who is a priest who has a son out of wedlock , a politician who is a closet homosexual who has a relationship with a transvestite without anyone knowing it

The show also has its share of comedic moments even when the scene is not . This all due to the great writing of the show has . It is tight and that the lines don 't hit off the mark . It is sarcastic and funny at the same time . The show is also interesting because of the element of surprise and the unexpected twists involved in the story telling

The show started immediately what the story is all about . It introduces immediately who are the main characters are and what is their part in the family . It gives a brief background on the situation between Nick George and the Darlings . But it does not tell why his father began his association with the Darlings in the first place

It is not a dark comedy or drama . It seems like biographical or a reality show like because of the antics of the Darlings . There a lot of characters that is interesting and fun to watch at . It is not confusing because of the each character has a different persona than the other

The direction of the show is not that confusing . The scenes are well rehearsed and that the camera angles are placed nicely . The show is not that fast paced nor it is too slow . The lighting also is great . It shows what the show is all about . Not too dark just right . The costumes are not that to heavy on the eyes and that it compliments the set , the scene itself , the characters and the flow of the show . It is all business The setting of the show is right in New York City . It is interesting to note that even if there are a lot of shows situated in New York City Dirty Sexy Money shows a different side of New York . That is of all power and glamour . It shows how the rich and famous live in New York Also interesting to note about the show is the fact that the Darlings are not residents of Los Angeles and Hollywood itself , as the home of the rich and famous and also not in Washington D .C , home of the powerful and influential personalities . It seems that the show combines both worlds and what city offer the best of both is New York City itself . And just like New York City , it is chaotic , spontaneous and the element of the unexpected as the show itself . It is always on the go and that the action is never boring because it changes from one situation to another

Donald Sutherland plays the part of the patriarch of the Darlings , Tripp Darlings pretty well . The role suits him , the personality and what the character is all about . And it seems only odd that he looks older for the role but never the less , the character fits him perfectly . One odd thing about the darlings is that they rely very dependently on their lawyer to do things for them . It is not just advice that Nick George provides but also helps the Darlings get out of any unfortunate incidents one family member got involved through . It seems that Nick is babysitting the spoiled and dysfunctional family to say the least

In every story that involves a rich family , there is always a politician member of the family . In the show , this politician is Stephen Baldwin who plays the role of the U .S . Attorney General in New York and is rumored to be running for the U . S . Senate . Every politician has a closet of skeletons hidden . It is that he is having an affair with a transvestite . His character is a bit quirky and a man of a few words

Of all the Darlings who are receptive of Nick George as their lawyer , it is the Rev . Brian Darlings who hate Nick the most . As most shows around the reverend might be the nemesis of Nick who is our main protagonist in the show . The reverend and Nick has a child like of hatred with each other . They even fought like little children during in one scene of the show . That scene is also fun to watch too . Very childish of the two . One thing unreal about the reverend of the show is that he swears a bit . And that he can think of bad things to do when he 's angry . This might not be as real as in real life . Most men of God don 't think or act that way

The show is not all fun and games there is also the element of mystery that surrounds the Darlings and Nick himself . Nick learned that his father had an affair with two members of the Darlings at the least There are also hints that Nick might be doing some investigative work regarding the disappearance of his father and the contents of his briefcase left at the helicopter

The show is a well written fictional account on the lives of the rich fabulous and famous with New York City in the background . If people would want to know what goes on in their world then show might be able to give a glimpse of that life . It is smartly written , entertaining and might be addictive to watch for there are many mysteries and events that need to reach a conclusion
