Theory of Multiple Intelligences Gardner is renowned in the field of educational research and development for his theory of multiple intelligences which seeks to challenge long-held assumptions about intelligence- traditionally seen as a single measure of intelligence . brain damage His effort to integrate these two lines of work led him to develop and introduce the theory of multiple intelligences in his book Frames of Mind (1983

Linguistic : that deals with the sensitivity to the meaning and of words
Logical-mathematical : mathematical ability and other complex logical systems
Musical : the ability to understand and create music
Spatial : the ability to "think in pictures " to perceive the visual world accurately and recreate or alter it in the mind or on Spatial intelligence is highly developed in artists , architects designers and sculptors
Bodily-kinesthetic : the ability to use one 's body in a skilled way , for self-expression or towards a goal . Mimes , dancers , basketball players and actors are among those who display bodily-kinesthetic intelligence
Interpersonal : an ability to perceive and understand other individuals -- their moods , desires...
