Synthesis
Synthesis In Somewhere I Have Never Traveled , Cummings writes about a man who has fallen in love with a woman . The man finds himself succumbing to everything that the woman he loves wants . He no longer is the person that he once was he becomes the kind of person that the woman she loves has made him . In the poem , it is presented that the man no longer thinks of how he could be substantially changed by following every whim of the woman what is important is that he gladly adheres to what

such changes require . In True Love , Szymborska writes about a person who is full of questions about falling in love . The person is confused and lost in the fact that people who fall in love seem to detach themselves from the world that surrounds them . Such person questions the things that lovers do and the presence of wisdom in doing said things . In fact , in the poem , the person does not stop at asking questions to the lovers he gives his mocking comments on the things that people in love do

as when the heart of this flower imagines

As mentioned above , both poems show us how love affects the people that it visits . The difference lies in the approach that each poem uses . In Somewhere I Have Never Traveled , Cummings makes it appear that a person in love gladly welcomes the changes that love brings . Cummings gives the impression that the person in love does everything in the name of love as if it were a magical experience that there is magic in not knowing what it is about you that closes and opens .
