It is bad for the mind to continually be part of unanimity ' Upon reading this quote , I have to say his statement here is a call for affirmative action in the venue of our complacency to think and act within the confines of the conventional focus of thought of

the general population of his and of generations to come

Upon reflection , I would say that in to fully understand all facets of this statement , anyone who reads it would be well advised to consider it from two perspectives . In a philosophical sense , I feel the Mr . Morley is reminding all of us that in to evolve in the way in which we are destined , we must always stretch our minds by being unafraid to step outside of the standard thinking process of mainstream society . To read materials that could be considered alternative to mainstream is a valuable asset . To do so exposes us to new ideas and ways of thinking that allows us to question the paradigms that inhibit our everyday lives . Paradigms are our mental landscapes , our thought processes that are usually predefined by our upbringing and by the cultures in which we live . In a practical sense , acting in a manner prescribed in this quote would promote innovative actions that could possibly turn out as those of profound change and reform born of humble beginnings

In conclusion , I feel that this quote is one of insight and timeless inspiration . It also the type of quote , that if reflected upon throughout our lives , can bring new wisdoms and revelations every time we do so . Most important , it sends a strong message to all of us to ponder our lives from different perspectives than we would otherwise
