Summary and Opinion of Macbeth
Macbeth , a Shakespearian play named after its lead character , is a morbid tale of ambition , madness , and murder . The lead character Macbeth is a thane or servant as well as a relative of the king of Scotland , Duncan . After successfully destroying a force lead by the rebel Macdonwald , Macbeth and his fellow thane Banquo are visited by the three witches . Before this event , the three witches had already agreed to seek out Macbeth . The three witches inform Macbeth of two prophecies They tell him that he will be granted a new honorable title

, and that he will soon become king . They also inform Macbeth and Banquo that Banquo will become the father of kings . Shortly after , another servant of King Duncan arrives and informs Macbeth that he has been granted a new title by the king . This convinces Macbeth that the witches prophecies are true and he begins to have strong ambitions for the throne of King Duncan
Macbeth informs his wife (named only as Lady Macbeth ) about the prophecies and she also develops an ambition to see her husband sit on the throne . She hatches a plan to have King Duncan murdered on his visit to their castle . When Macbeth seems to have hesitations about the plan Lady Macbeth manipulates him into doing it by questioning his manhood Macbeth thus goes along with the plan and murders the king in his bedchambers while Lady Macbeth frames the king 's drunken guards for the deed by placing bloody daggers near...
