In an article entitled The death penalty : Right or wrong , good or bad ' written by Dr . Don Boys provides several arguments related to the support of capital punishment , or more familiarly known as death penalty , from a personal point of view . According to the (Boys , n .d it is righteous to maintain a policy of death penalty for the criminals to which it applies to especially for those who have committed murder to other

people . In addition to this , the government , both the national and the local , should ensure that relevant policies are made and the implementation is ensured to be equal for all cases

After a complete reading of the article , it can be seen that there are several arguments that are worth noting . First , the author is not able to examine clearly the cause and the effect of the argument that the removal of death penalty has resulted to an additional 10 ,000 killings each year . There are several reasons aside from the absence of the death penalty that resulted to a rise in the number of murders that occurred yearly . The circumstances may have been different and a statistical trend for it is needed to prove that the presence or absence of death penalty is related to the number of killings that are done annually . In addition to this , provision of a number without further reference to credible statistical sources or citation as to where this has been taken contests the truthfulness of the rate of killings given

Second , it is apparent that throughout the article , the author refers to the opponents and discredits them with the position they have taken The arguments provided in opposition of the anti-death penalty does not clearly point out what is being given for the anti-death penalty side and simply provides for attacks of the beliefs made by people who advocate for such

Lastly , there are several arguments that are seen to be cyclical . The author repeatedly shows that killers should be killed and that non-adherence to this policy is also considered negatively . In the end it would not be viable to go on a cyclical argument . There should be other options and should not only lie within the two ends of the strings , which is for and against the death penalty
