Amadeus : Worthy of His Talent Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of the most talented composer and performer that ever lived . He was known throughout Europe as a child prodigy for his spectacular accomplishments . He played his compositions on the piano in the courts of noblemen and royalty at an early age and even when he was a young man . However Mozart had crude , coarse , and vulgar personality . This led Antonio Salieri , who was extremely jealous of the young prodigy , to believe that he was not worthy of his talent Talent is not

based on one 's personality or social worth
Every society and generation has had its men and women who possessed a great deal of talent , but were horrible role models . Edgar Allan Poe Jimmy Hendrix , Janis Joplin , and Amy Winehouse are just a few examples of talented artist whose personal habits and lives were destructive to them personally . It does not mean that they are not talented . Mozart was a natural genius and it was that genius which led to him becoming a spoiled brat even once he grew to adulthood . It is possible that few people today who love and appreciate his music would have liked him if he were alive today
Talent is not something that a person is worthy of , but a gift . It is true that to nurture a talent , one must work at it . However , a talent does not just appear . What an individual does with that talent is up to him /her , but it is still not something that is earned . The argument of many today as well as Salieri is that a performer is also a role model It is a blessing when a performer is a worthy role model , but why should he /she not have the choice of what he /she does with life ? Should they be forced to live and act a certain way because they possess a talent Performers lives are theirs to live as they choose whether the public likes it or not
Mozart 's music would sound the same if he had not had a negative character . The talent would not have been affected . He was a worthy person whether he was likeable or not . He did do an incredibly noble thing and that was to leave this world with some of the most intricate and beautiful music that it has ever known
