Objective of Program : To expose musical options to children , and use music to enhance voice development , listening and attention skills , and awareness

Elderly teachers and working professionals between jobs can bring

unique identity to the school , and have knowledge to overcome common and uncommon problems in children 's singing

Teachers salaries will be paid well , so we have a high caliber of people to choose from and cover their time for private tutoring

Teachers behavior and skills serve as role models children will want to imitate

Week 1 : Focused on capturing children 's interests

Children will watch a 30-45 minute pre-arranged professional choir perform all styles . This may be arranged in evening instead of class time

They will select their favorite popular song to bring to class

Class will sing lyrics

They will noticed the tone , high and low scales of the CD /MP3

Every child 's music selection must be played

After we have their attention , they will be informed outside class work is required to keep up with the class

Make up their own music scores

Do a remake or rap version of their selection . This will give them an idea of what are pitches , high and low vocal ranges , rhythms , melodies phrasing

Select an area they are having trouble with and write a research on how to improve . If they are exceptional , they will select a technique they wish to learn about , such as belting

Week 2 : Set-up classroom and learning arrangements

Week 3 : This entire week will be devoted to connecting the words carrying the tune , or matching pitches . Knowing how to read the staff recognizing high and low pitches , breathing techniques , impeccable posture , does not mean anything at all if the student cannot transform words into musical tunes
