Introduction

The increased challenges in business have urged the needs for having appropriate methods and strategy in enhancing the quality of human resources in a company so that they keep informed regarding the competition , how-to in selling particular products , comparison with competitors ' product , and future trends p

All of this knowledge can be achieved when a company has the spirit of conducting corporate entrepreneurship that helps the company to improve their performance . Zahra (1991 ) reveals that corporate entrepreneurship refers to process of creating new business in existing firms aims at improving organizational profitability and enhance a firm 's competitive position or the strategic renewal of existing business

Concerning the corporate entrepreneurship issue , this will elaborate the initiatives to develop information system to adopt the corporate entrepreneurship spirit in its six knowledge centres . Within the discussion we will address the relation between knowledge management and human resource management in attempt to support a company 's objective to be corporate entrepreneurship

Aims and Objectives

This intends to the relationship between corporate entrepreneurship , knowledge management , and human resource management as underlying factors in creating the strategic information systems

Using the non-participant observation method , collecting data and analyzing qualitative information from journal , books , magazine and other online materials , this is to focus on using knowledge management in the design of corporate information systems

In addition , the aims at discussing best practice of information system design and knowledge management in several multinational companies and discusses the benefits the companies obtain from adopting the information systems

Significance of the Study

The idea of knowledge management is basically to encourage every member of an organization (employees , management , and partners ) to share information or knowledge regarding particular issues in to enable other people experiencing and gaining knowledge on how to deal with the issues

Due to the importance of information sharing within an organization , the development of information system that supports knowledge management program is strategic in helping the company in satisfying customer supporting the customer loyalty through sharing data , information and knowledge

Hypothesis

Concerning the knowledge management practice in an organization therefore the research statement or question is

As knowledge management plays significant part in the success of a business , what factors contribute to the success of its implementation that the company needs to take into account in the design of information system

I choose this research question since it could be completely different from others that may focus only on information technology (IT ) of knowledge sharing . For this reason , in the literature review , there will be discussion of factors that influence the development of information system to enable employees , management , and partners to share information in suitable platform attractively
