In high-end , posh executive suite , the eldest son of a highly-successful and rich businessman was poring over s and documents he had to accomplish for the day . He was quite annoyed at the idea of a meeting in the middle of the day , as he had so much getting along with . But it was his father 's trusted business partner and friend and he had something important to tell . Noon came , and he welcomed his father 's friend

I bring news ' he said , getting straight to the point immediately as most persons in the business do . Do you remember the time that your father called upon you and your brothers for a family meeting and told you that he had still other companies under his control

Yes I remember ' the eldest said . What about it ? Do we still get it ' he had said , barely trying to keep his greedy voice in check

I 'm sorry to tell you but those other companies do not really exist Your father used his influence and friendship to fake several documents in to pose those companies as legal and real . But in reality they don 't . He was trying to teach you a lesson

What ! How can you say that ' the eldest screamed , almost raising his voice . Blood rushed through his head , unable to think clearly . He promised us more ! How can he teach us a lesson ! We wanted MORE ' he screamed

His father 's friend said nothing . Then , Your father is dead

Silence fell . The eldest son was shocked , as he stood in mid-sentence grasping his chair and apparently breathless

It was inevitable that your father passed away . But since he had said those things to you and your brothers , you stuck with him , but for the wrong reasons . You did not even show love and respect to him at his time of greatest need . You kept wanting for more . He was disappointed over the way you and your brother have continually quarrelled over money . He said that he did not raise you to be as such . Because of your greed , you and your brothers did not find time to realize the greater things - most importantly , being with your father in his period of suffering as his own sons , not as greedy persons wanting more of the same thing

The eldest son stood behind his well-polished desk . He looked around his office . The towering windows , the magnificent view , a very expensively decorated office , and all the money and power he held and shared with his brothers . They were extremely happy but also extremely greedy . With their money , they had abused themselves with all the physical pleasure that they can buy . But they were never satisfied . It was all from their father , who on the contrary , knew the value of hard-earned money while remaining humble and generous . He and his brother were already beyond greatness . They had made names for themselves...
