Legends are made , records are set and broken . The great feeling is understandable especially in the 21st century when not only Americans come to compete but other great players from other nationalities- it is truly fitting to call the victors as world champions

home the trophy . The team that trained the hardest wins . The most determined , gifted , and hardworking athlete contributes to his team 's success . But since 1988 serious allegation of doping by elite players cast a doubt on the assertion that the most dedicated and most passionate will emerge victorious . If it can be proven that baseball players - from the average MLB player to the elite - did use performance enhancing drugs then the awards and the records does not mean anything , all are heaps of rubbish that the fans will ignore
