Steroids in Major League Baseball
Major League Baseball and the Steroids Scandal Every year the world of Major League Baseball celebrates by way of the World Series . Every year the best teams and the best players come together to show the world who is the best . Legends are made , records are set and broken . The great feeling is understandable especially in the 21st century when not only Americans come to compete but other great players from other nationalities- it is truly fitting to call the victors as world champions There can only be one winner to take

home the trophy . The team that trained the hardest wins . The most determined , gifted , and hardworking athlete contributes to his team 's success . But since 1988 serious allegation of doping by elite players cast a doubt on the assertion that the most dedicated and most passionate will emerge victorious . Background
There are different kinds of drugs that can be used to improve performance but the wonder ' drug is undoubtedly anabolic steroids - also commonly known as simply steroids . He said that in the nineteenth century a man named Betthold discovered that , .transplantation of testes into castrated roosters (capon ) led to the regression of the changes that occurred as a result of castration , namely the regrowth of comb and wattles and changes in behavior (2003
Others went on to that other scientists used these results to create a crude type of steroids and Lenehan wrote
In the mid-1930s two research groups , Ruzicka and Wettstein and Butenandt and Hanisch , isolated androstenedione and converted it to what is now known as testosterone [ .] Since these discoveries , various research groups have made modifications to the basic structure of testosterone and produced a range of closely related compounds that are marketed as anabolic steroids...
