Statement of Purpose

It has been my ardent wish to study abroad , EAP made it possible by bridging the gap between the ideal country that I wanted to study in and my country where I grew up . I want to experience and immerse myself in the lives and culture of other countries because I believe that it will not only serve as a scope to widen my knowledge but also help me in transforming into a person that I want to be p

With my major being Environmental Economics and Policy , I believe that the program will serve as a facilitator in helping me understand how other countries , like Japan operates or has its on system that may or may not be applicable in improving my country 's policies

Taking courses such as Economic Development in Southeast Asia , Japanese Fiscal and Financial System , Japanese Language as well as a special course provided by a professor in UC , I expect to get a whole new perspective of doing and deciding things that I wouldn 't have known existed if I am not to take this opportunity

With my background as Asian as well as Chinese characters , having a similarity with the ones in Japanese , I can somehow read and understand the basics . I hope to hone my full capacities with these things as well as improve in some , by joining in Education Abroad Program

My goals are simple and true , that is to live a life that I am proud of and to do that my educational goal will be to excel with honor and principles intact . I want to be something of use to the country that I lived in . I plan to achieve my educational goals in EAP by simply doing my best . I am prepared to use the best of my abilities , no matter how scarce they maybe so that I myself , wouldn 't regret my decision of studying abroad . Instead , I plan to have the time of my life , treasuring every single learning experiences and taking all that I can in bring and apply it back to my home

Japan , being a country with so little resources , had used their intellectual ability to be the second most powerful country in the world . Japan after fighting with America in the World War II , had focused its attention in improving their nation and they were able to do so , quite admirably . They know how to maximize their scarce resources in such a degree that they became the number one wealthiest country in Asia . I am interested to know how they were able to rebuild their economy at such a rate that left other neighboring countries behind . In turn , I took courses that would help me answer these posing questions . In time I want to become a bridge that will connect countries particularly Japan and US in a partnership that will be beneficial to both , like trade or human power . Communing and living with...
