Statement of Purpose

I wish to join your distinguished academic institution for your Masters Degree program in Jewish Studies

I started my undergraduate studies at the University of Witten /Herdecke Germany for three semesters , which includes one practical semester majoring in Economics and Management in 200x . Within three further semesters , I graduated cum laude at the Canterbury University , New Zealand /Seychelles in 200x . My research on my Honours year dealt with European Union missions to Israel . Moreover , I also studied the history of the Jewish people in Russia

Last year

, due to work with the German-Israeli Renewable Energies task group , I moved to Israel and started studying Hebrew . I was fortunate to meet and have serious discussions with some prominent academic , social political and economic players in Israel . During seminars at the University of Haifa regarding Middle East issues , I had the opportunity of lengthy discussions with famous Israeli academic Dan Shueftan and went through his suggested readings . I also had the opportunity for face-to-face meetings as well as private conversations with Israeli business and political authorities as well as other members of the academe regarding Israel and Jews . These formal and informal conversations covered diverse aspects of Israeli life such as society culture , business , language , literature , history , religion and even politics . I have also been invited to a gala dinner of the Israeli-Palestinian Chamber of Commerce which was attended and wisely guided by Hon . Toni Blair .
