Statement of Purpose and Goals

To study under the School of Library and Information Sciences of the University of North Texas has always been part of my plan to achieve my goals . The SLIS of the University of Texas is known to produce top-class graduates . I am sure that under the guidance of this program and university , I will be adept and well-equipped with the knowledge that

is required of my chosen profession

I 've always been interested in how organized things should be . For me being organized is the only way to prevent unnecessary chaos . In addition to that , it always amazes me that being organized can make daily tasks much easier . I observed the importance of being organized ever since I was young . I observed this in everyday things like how a mother prepares and organizes her children 's needs for school , how a policeman manages heavy traffic , and how a librarian find the book you ask in a public library

With relation to my goals , passing the requirements of this program and to put into practice what I 've learned will be the long term goals . But before that I have to put all my efforts into this admission . If I will be blessed enough to be admitted , I will then put all efforts and focus to studying and contributing whatever I can to this program

I consider being meticulous about details as a strength . Being particular to details saves me precious time rather than dealing with unforeseen consequences . Also , I consider myself as a people person . I believe the ability to relate to other people is important to the information profession . Organizing information is one thing , but making it accessible to others should be prioritized . I also consider myself as adaptive . Change is constant so I believe that change should be welcomed as a challenge not as a impediment to our goals . In this age of computers and new technologies , the willingness to learn will be a vital for any profession
