The Network Society is the new spirit of capitalism as identified by Boltanski and Chiapello in the study of France 's capitalistic structure covering industries and private firms or employers in general , and labor as represented by the unions of private sector workers in particular Boltanski and Chiapello developed a framework that involves the analysis of French management and /or trade literature that covered the periods from 1968-1978 and 1985-1995 with careful focus on the three dimensions of the spirit of capitalism .
