I want to pursue Sociology and French from the college of Arts Science , which is one of the best institutions in Canada . My long-term plan is to pursue a Masters program in public health . There are very strong reasons why I have chosen Sociology and French at the degree level . I feel that the aptitude of these two subjects would help me greatly in fulfilling the aim of my life , which is to return back home in Democratic Republic of Congo and serve my countrymen . Since French is the dominant

language in my country I want to polish it so that there is no difficulty in my social interactions . Though there has been a long time since I have not attended school , I have the determination to do well in the area of study that I am applying for . Not only this , the circumstances that life has thrown upon me have molded me into a very persevering and strong willed person . My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 .
