The Song of the Sea of the Song of Redemption is a prayer which was sung with the faithful Israelites . At present , the prayer is recited on a daily basis in the morning shacharit services in the form of music Originally , this comes from the Parshat Beshalach . As mentioned above it is usually read in the seventh day of Passover . The Jewish call the part where Shabat as part of the Parashat Beshallach as is read is called the Shabat Shirah . Many of its verses are sung in melodies . These melodies are characterized by unique sounds . Another noticeable characteristic is that it can be seen from a picture that the format of the columns where it is written is unusual . It can be seen in the Sefer Torah which has the most unique structure . The columns formed by the words appear like bricks on the walls , which is symbolilc of the two sides of the water split into two

The poem Song of the Sea , appears in one of the books in the bible specifically at the Exodus 15 :1b-18 . It mainly illustrates the fate of the Egyptians upon trying to follow the Israelites being led my Moses at that time , in their quest of walking towards their freedon to reach Canaan . The very famous story regarding the Red Sea being separated into two as it allows passing through of the Israelites was told . The sea killed a lot of the Egyptian soldiers including the king as the water went back to its normal state after having all the Israelites reach the other side of the water
