Introduction

It interesting to note that philosophy has a heritage marked by an unmistakable diversity . Since philosophers come from diverging schools of thought , it is to be expected that their respective doctrines would reveal qualitative differences when compared with other teachings . That being said , it needs to be also recognized that , for reasoned purposes it is still possible to relate distinct philosophical standpoints . And this , taking cue from such a premise , argues that certain relations can be gleaned from the otherwise differing theories of Socrates , Plato and Aristotle regarding philosophy , knowledge and existence .
