The five components of social institutions and their significance or roles in the process of personal development are the following

Family

Family is the foremost basic unit that affects the personal development of an individual . Together with its households , this is a supporting collective cluster composed of principally a male

and a female , as well as their progeny . The family unit may also comprise of the primary relatives who may or may not reside under the similar domicile

The family members are the ones who are responsible for the fundamental upbringing of a person . They are the primary educators or trainors of a person since mainly , a person 's knowledge of things comes from his immediate family . Most of the way of thinking of an individual in any aspects of life , how he speaks , and his behavior depends on the background and rearing that he receives from his own family . A successful man or woman initially gets his or her success based on what he have learned and experienced from his own abode . The household configuration and relations with the domestic affiliates greatly influences his personal and communal roles in the society that he is into . The mindset of a person is coherent with what his family members which surrounds him also thinks as a child and carries those thoughts as he grows up and develops into a more mature individual . that goes too with the way of articulation of his parents or relatives and their manners , conducts , and activities

Education

Education is believed to be the second most influential factor as a component of social institution . From the basic knowledge and experiences that a person was able to get from his family , educational institutions further enhance and develops those intelligence and know-hows . A person enters elementary level and is taught and trained some basic principles in everyday life . Then a person may go into a secondary level of learning which edifies him with more convoluted and detailed facts . And after that , he may still continue to pursue a college or university degree which will further elaborate multifaceted things not taught in the elementary and secondary education
