Modernization manifests itself in US society in a great way . People are more prosperous than before . There are a lot more facilities than it was imaginable a few decades back . Life has become easier . It is easy to interact with people without being physically present with them Everyone has become a part of the global village and knows what is happening around the globe with a click of a button , but has no idea of the person who is living next door

Modernization is likely to continue in US

. Modernization is the product of economic growth and going by the rate at which US is blooming economically and preparing for an even better future , there are no doubts about it

Modernization is a worldwide trend because it is the US that sets the trends for the rest of the world to follow . Since US is highly modernized , each and every nation is toiling to accomplish this trait

There are both positive and negative consequences of modernization . The positive consequence is that we can get in touch with anyone instantly Communication has become easier . The negative consequence of modernization is that though we have come closer to the entire world , we are drifting away from our near and dear ones . The family values are fast deteriorating

Max Weber best reflects my theory of modernization . Like him , I believe in rationalism and self-discipline . If we have to keep pace with the changing world around us then we will have to accept the side effects of the changes too . But instead of falling prey to the negativities of modernization we should be firm by the virtue of our self-discipline . We should be honest to our inner self and at the same time rationally maintain relations with the outer world too
