Social analysis is defined as the process of determining the roots a problem using sociological concepts , ideas and theories . Social analysis could either be quantitative (numerical ) or qualitative depending on the nature of the problem . Sociological analysis is based on the idea of sociological imagination . Sociological imagination revolves around the idea that all events are a result of the interplay of man , history and society . Therefore , by using this concept to analyze and solve a particular problem , we may be able to attain a resolution that we could not come up with

Social analysis analyze a problem that can be explained in social context using concepts which are based on social theory . Using the KADS method , several problems within the EMS were identified . One major issue involves the participation of a GP in the processing of a call from the dispatch . One of the problems that was encountered in the KADS analysis of Emergency medical services revolves around the roles that are being played by the dispatch and general practitioner . The issue now posted involves supporting dispatchers in the handling of calls related to heart problems . This problem will now be addressed using social analysis . The assigned readings gave me background on social theories and how the different theories can be applied in the given situation
