Introduction

Everywhere it was slavery , slaves and their masters . Slavery was a form of forced labor without pay or wages . Before and after the civil war slaves in the United States played a very important role . The slavery history is part and parcel of the American history . Slaves worked for their masters and they were great contributors to the American economic prosperity during those times that is before the war of emancipation Before the civil war slaves were working in cotton , sugar and tobacco plantations . victims came to be a very common form of abolitionism ' They provided cheap labor under grueling conditions . And after the civil war which was like a revolution and many freed slaves were Americanized

Before the civil war many slaves both men and women were voiceless , they only worked for many hours under humiliating conditions and without wages . Kohn (207 ) African American slaves enjoyed a rare distinction in the long and blood history of human slavery ' This trend continued for many decades and a few of then wanted their voices to be heard Because of the suffering and the exploitative states that they were undergoing , they decided to resist . The resistance caused a revolution in the form of civil war and that how simply the civil war started . Many of the slaves started disobeying and revolting against their masters because they had been humiliated enough . Every slave men and women were convicted to gang up and support each other to end slavery

After the end of that bloody civil war many slaves were free in all aspects , some moved freely from one place to another , some went to school and others started owning homes . The emancipation the lives of slaves and their masters because the masters were forced to respect their slaves who were no longer slaves . During the civil war men played a greater role of fighting even though many lost lives their victories in the war proved them right in their endeavors to get freedom . Women were not left behind as many of them supported their families while their husbands and their sons joined the war . Most force laborers were indentured servants from Great Britain

Many former slaves were young energetic men and women who were below 30 years old who contributed economically , socially and culturally to the American society when the civil war ended . Many of these young people had gone to school and were working in government offices even though they were segregated and it brought new slavery , which was referred to as racial slavery . Their lifestyle a little bit changed and it was neither too African nor too white , but many had copied some white lifestyle and a new African American culture evolved . Hortons (56-57 observes that American slavery was concentrated mostly in South although it existed in all American colonies and as time passed relationships between slaves and masters changed as second generation slaves lost much of their African culture and become...
